"O mighty Ptah" is one major treasure, an ancestral invocation we find at the Opera "Aida" of Maestro Giuseppe Verdi.
This particular piece has always spelled me, it has even made me write verses - some better than the others - and sink myself in an ocean beyond memory.
I leave you now with these 2 versions:
- The 1st one conducted by Maestro Arturo Toscanini, recorded in 1949 in New York. The soprano is Teresa Stich-Randall.
- The 2nd conducted by Maestro Herbert von Karajan, recorded in 1959. The soprano is Eugenia Ratti.
