LHASA DE SELA passed away.
Upon the high tide, LHASA DE SELA left us.
In an official report published at her website, we were informed about the passing of LHASA. She passed away at her home in Montreal, Canada, on January the 1st, 2010, after a 21 month battle against breast cancer.
Her spirit remains among us, her music, passion and as her friend JULES BECKMAN stated:
"We have always heard something ancestral coming through her. She has always spoken from the threshold between the worlds, outside of time. She has always sung of human tragedy and triumph, estrangement and seeking with a Witness's wisdom. She has placed her life at the feet of the Unseen."
It could not be better put, into words.
Here´s to you, a woman of my generation, born on September 27, 1972, and gone on January the 1st, 2010, I wave my hand as a farewell sign, rather as a SEE YOU SOON - with your own songs:

Haven't heard about her before .. so I took the time to listen to her songs that you've added in your post - and I like it :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad when people die at an young age. We've lost many great artists in different ways. I always feel kind of desperate - would like to rewind the hole thing .. and find another ending. But - that's not up to me to do. We all are in charge of ourselves - and ourselves alone. We can't take on the reponsibility for others .. it's too much .. sadly.

I see these people, like Lhasa, as shooting stars, they come, they leave a sign of light and they leave.
