I realise now that I had never put my own ideas about Christmas here at The Melting Pot.
I posted one brilliant article from Dr. EMMET FOX at my Spanish blog internatural, but nothing never here.
I consider myself blessed to have had mentors who somehow have shown me some light about clue issues. Once you have the spiritual key and approach, your focus on life issues will change. Thus I made up my mind around 10 years ago about Christmas in specific.
It should not be a season for stress, however many people stress highly on December. It should not be a SEASON FOR SPENDING $$$ however many people spend the money they don´t have.
It is the time to SHARE, to CELEBRATE the victory of LIGHT over darkness. Since ancient times we had the SATURNALIA, where people shared their crops in the cold winter, early celts cut an evergreen to remember that after the long winter, there was still hope for life, LIGHTS WERE LIT in that same sense. In fact, the Winter Solstice.
Ancient peoples were totally tuned and atoned with the rhythm, throb and pulse of Nature, those were the Festivals.
Christianity took this season to celebrate the birth of the CHRIST, THE ENLIGHTENED, let us see that light INSIDE OURSELVES.
Let the CHRIST live and be born in you...
Like STEPHEN FOSTER´s song "BEAUTIFUL DREAMER, awake unto me".
Once you realise this, whether religious or not, you will not get stressed, you will not spend out of control, then you´ll try to shine, share life and warm your dear one(s) in the cold times.
What would my friends from "down under" say about this? It is summer in ARGENTINA, URUGUAY, CHILE, SOUTH AFRICA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND--- and so on...Well, the same applies sharing life, love & supportiveness.
Indeed!You are right , Edi!
ReplyDeleteChristmas is that time of year , for which we must be thankful, happy, glad to be with the family and well.

How right you are Songo! For me Christmas is so much about light. This Christmas was perfect - no gifts, just lots of lights and candles - and a time for quiet reflection and affirmation. I loved it.
ReplyDeleteAnd above all things, the light INSIDE your heart that never goes out!
